here and there) and hands (participating in deeds of darkness).

B. We are to walk in the Spirit, with the mind of Christ (Eph. 3:16-18)! Daily life should be a discovery of the Spirit’s purpose. With this in mind we must be directed by Godly thoughts so we can comprehend all God has for us. We must be like the little child crossing the road “looking both ways” – what we see and know and what fully trusting God can show us “the breadth, length, height and depth”. The ultimate end of Godly thoughts and a Godly walk is that we will be “filled up (v. 19) to all the fullness of God!

That fullness in God was given because of Jesus’ sacrifice. This great love was exampled here in Detroit on August 16, 1987 when Northwest Airlines flight 255 crashed just after taking off from our Detroit airport, killing 155 people. One survived: a 4 yr-old from Tempe, Arizona, named Cecelia Cichan. When rescuers found Cecelia they did not believe she had been on the plane. Investigators first assumed Cecelia was a passenger in one of the cars on I-94 onto which the airliner crashed. But when the passenger registry for the flight was checked, there was Cecelia's name. Cecelia survived because, as the plane was falling, Cecelia's Mom, Paula Cichan, unbuckled her own seat belt, got down on her knees in front of her daughter, wrapped her arms and body around Cecelia, and then would not let her go. Paula died in her place, so her young daughter could live (Cecelia Crocker 36-Soul Survivor). It’s what Jesus did--He died in our place so we can experience God’s love.

C. We are to walk in LIFE in a manner worthy of our calling in God (Eph. 4:1-3)! God has given each of us purpose! Each day we’re to fulfill that purpose. Life can be peaceful and purposeful for us as we express “gentleness, patience and tolerance with others and in love preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”. We must be discerning and decisive, knowing we do not fight in the flesh (people are not our problem), but war against principalities and powers thru faith, love and power of God! In God we can then renounce the bad, renew the good and reveal the promise!

You are so important that God sent Jesus to this world to give you New Hope. How many of you need God’s love, forgiveness and a changed life, pray this prayer: “Bless me with LOVE GOD! Help me to love others as you LOVE me and have forgiven me! Let me show patience, tolerance, Kindness, caring and LOVE to all! I pray as Eph. 3:16-20 says that YOU would strengthen me with power through your Spirit in my inner being……so that Christ may dwell in my heart thru faith. I also pray that I would be so rooted and established in your love God that my family, fellow workers, students, friends and neighbors can see thru me how wide, long, high and vast your love is and come to also love you! In Jesus’ Name. Amen!”
