VACATION AND TRAVEL

“This is the Spirit of Carolina boat used for regular and dinner cruises”

On March 7th Charleston is having their own festival with live beach music, food and crafts. There are too many festivals to list, but they can easily be found on the event website of any town in America you can think of. Another nice side trip is to Myrtle Beach as I alluded to earlier, which is 95 miles and less than 2 hours from Charleston. I’ve been there more than once, and I like North Myrtle Beach the best because it offer the best attractions. There are a lot of attractions which is worth the drive, but if you are leaving the Charleston area for good, then a lay over there overnight is a great stay on the way home. Lastly, Charleston has a very nice nightlife with many great places to dine, but if you wish to get the best family experience without the crowded venues then take a dinner cruise. They offer different ones like, “Spiritline Cruises.”

I’ve taken this cruise and it was very enjoyable with the live music and great food. This is a 2 ½ hour cruise aboard the “Spirit of Carolina,” where you will enjoy a three or four course dinner, made to order from local seasonal ingredients. As you dine on a delicious multi-course plated dinner, the Spirit of Carolina will cruise through the beautiful Charleston Harbor, past Fort Sumter, along the Battery and beneath the Ravenel Bridge, having a great view of the sunset. In Charleston, there is so much to see and do that it would take multiple trips to enjoy it all, plus like I said earlier, it’s a great hub to stay at with nearby side trip attractions up and down the Atlantic coast to experience, which is only a few hours or less from Charleston. Have fun with the good weather this time of the year compared to Michigan.
