the notable people who played in this game were George Hearst, Diamond Jim Brady, Adolphus Busch, Doc Holliday, Bat Masterson, and Wyatt Earp. The poker game was played continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It continued from 1881 to 1889 for a total of eight years. It is estimated that approximately $10 million was exchanged in the game during the eight years that it lasted and that the Bird Cage retained ten percent of that money.
Also, this place gives nightly ghost tours, plus everything inside is exactly as it was from the 1880s. This building is one big time capsule museum. One thing you will see at this museum theatre is the Black Moriah, which is a hearse. It carried all but six of the Tombstone, Arizona residents to Boothill Graveyard, and It ran from 1881 to 1917.
Anyway, I did not think I would like this next attraction, but I found it to be very interesting, which is the Boothill Graveyard. The Boothill Graveyard in historic Tombstone, Arizona is quite likely the most famous Wild West cemetery in the world. Buried at Boothill Graveyard are Lawmen, Outlaws, Ranchers, Gamblers, Husbands, Wives, Children, and many others. This burial ground was used from 1879 to 1884.
This next attraction is very historic, and that is the 1882 Cochise County Court House. The two-story courthouse, designed in the Victorian style, was constructed of red brick in 1882. The courthouse, a splendid example of territorial architecture, continued to serve as a county facility until 1931 when the county seat was moved to Bisbee.
Today, you can enjoy a museum full of authentic interpretive exhibits on the history of Tombstone and Cochise County, including period sheriff’s office, artist drawings and interpretations of the Gunfight at the OK Corral, Wyatt Earp, mining exhibit area, saloon and gaming room, period lawyers’ office and courtroom, ranching, and residents of Tombstone.
This next attraction I have been too but it is nice to experience it one time because it is more of a family friendly show for not only adults, but mainly kids, which is the Old Tombstone Western Theme Park, which offers the best in Wild West entertainment, and host Tombstones longest running professional gunfight show.
