SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH
1. Rise Thankfully. Phil. 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing…” When we get up, we need to say: “I am called and chosen by God, the Greater One is living in me, I am blessed and am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! I can do all things this day through Christ who strengthens me!”
2. Pray Expectantly. Phil. 4:6 continues stating, “but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”.
3. Think Positively. Phil. 4:8 encourages, “whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Even when trials come, we can say what Paul says here in Rom. 8:28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose!” So…
4. Forgive Quickly. Col. 3:12-13 says to “put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other…” Remember – God will never be taken off guard, He has your back and the Greater One in you can turn things around as you stop thinking of just surviving, but be aided by His grace and allow Holy Spirit’s power to help you start THRIVING!
The Message Bible sums this all up in Rom. 8:37-39, “So, what do you think? With God on our side, how can we lose? Since God put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending His own Son, is there anything He wouldn’t gladly do for us? Who would dare tangle with God by messing with God’s chosen? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us! — is in the presence of God at this moment sticking up for us! I’m absolutely convinced that NOTHING—living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow,
"....I’m absolutely convinced that NOTHING—living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely NOTHING can get between us and God’s love because
of the way that
Jesus our Master has embraced us.”
