Now, in Mackinaw City itself, they have many hotels/motels, and the lowest I saw was $59.00 per night, all the way up to $200.00 on average with a few outside that price range. When booking it all depends on the season you go and the day of the week for nightly rates. The accommodations there are condos, bed & breakfasts, campgrounds, vacation rentals, cottages, and hotel/motel types of properties.

In this article, I will be talking about this great Michigan attraction, which is Mackinac Island, but, I will also touch on Mackinaw City, which I have been to on 2 occasions and stayed in the city at different hotels, where I then visited the island and rented a bike the first time an also walked and mainly walked around on foot the 2nd time there, plus I took a carriage ride.

Now, when you decide to vacation there, you will need to get your hotel/motel booked first, because there is accommodation in the city, as well as on the island itself. You will find that if you decide to stay on the island the rates are much higher than in the city.
