SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH
On Friday, the disciples are hiding, Jesus stands before the High Priest and Peter’s denies he knows the Lord. But thank God for forgiveness that changed Peter’s life and “yours” on Resurrection Sunday!
On Friday, Jesus is spit on, whipped with a cat of nine tails with pieces of metal and stone in the leather, spit on, mocked and had a crown of thorns pressed into his head. But Resurrection Sunday guaranteed your faith, freedom & future!
On Friday, Jesus walked to Calvary under weight of the cross, blood drip-ping from His body, hands & feet nailed to the beams, then thrust in the ground ripping his flesh. But did all this for you since he knew you would read this and change would come to your life!
On Friday, the sky became dark, the earth began to tremble, and He who knew no sin became sin for us cried out “Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing…It is finished” as the Temple curtain (separated us from God) ripped from top to bottom as Jesus turned a terrible day into the day you can be restored to fellowhip, and a future with Him. II. LIVE IN THE POWER OF THE ONE WHO ROSE FROM THE GRAVE
A. He Rolled Away The Stone so we could see Victory Won for us! Jesus moved the stone because he wants to occupy your heart, heal your body, restore your
marriage & finances and daily bless your home! That stone was rolled away so that people like us could look into the tomb and see that it is forever empty! Also…
B. He Removed The Soldiers so He could remove Defeat & Dispair for us! Matt. 27:62-67 tells us that the chief priests and Pharisees were concerned that the prophecies of Jesus might actually come true, and wanted a guard to be posted at the tomb. C. He Reminded The Saints of Eternal Hope, Healing & Heaven for us! Read Luke 24:6-8 “remember how He spoke…” Fear and unbelief was removed then and will be removed from us as we see EASTER IS NOT ABOUT A DEAD MAN, BUT OUR FUTURE! Father God…thank you for sending Jesus to the Cross and raising Him from the Grave! Have mercy on me, according to Your unfailing love; blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I now realize that Easter is not about a Dead Man but One who lives to insure My Future!
