"I can't believe its happening," she screamed" as she banged her hands on the steering wheel. Jennifer had put off getting gas & now that she had run out of gas in the dark in a bad section of town, she angrily cursed her carelessness! She kept trying to start her car until the battery went dead! She anxiously looked thru the darkness & saw there was no telephone, service station or restaurant around. In the fog she could barely see outlines of large warehouses & railroad tracks. Jennifer had not prayed in years, het she cried to God for a taxi or police car to drove by.
Then she saw him, and her hair stood up on her neck. In the middle of the street, coming straight at her, was a large man! She locked her doors, slid down into her seat, and held her breath. "Perhaps he will pass by" she prayed, when suddenly he tapped on the glass. She was hysterical and screamed at the top of her lungs "Get away. Leave me alone." But he kept tapping and said something she couldn't hear with all her screaming & blowing the horn. The intensity of his knocking on the windows and his yelling increased as he raced around the car, trying all the doors.
Then he was gone! Jennifer looked in all directions, but could not see him. Her heart was racing & she was really perspiring, but to her horror he returned! He was carrying a long thick board. He tried to say something to her, but she drowned out his voice with her screams. Then, he broke her driver's side window with a shower of glass and in an instant reached inside & opened the door. Jennifer in fright slid to the other side of the car and began to kick the man. He tried repeatedly to grab her, but each time she fought back furiously. By now she had become accustomed to the darkness and thru her tears could see blood run down his nose & mouth. Then he got a grip on her legs & began to pull her from the car.
Jennifer repeatedly hit the man, as he put his arms around her waist and carried her about forty feet from the car. Suddenly he put her down in a standing position and said, "Don't be afraid". But
