THE SPIRIT IN YOU

(Proverbs 29:18). In other words, if you do not dream and have a set path, you will make choices that will inevitably be a hindrance to your life. Look around and see the negative things that are going on in our world, and you will realize that that is a statement of truth. There are too many negative things happening and too many people who are hurting themselves and others. If they were pursuing their dreams, they would be focused and would be determined not to allow any deterrents to hinder them from fulfilling their dreams.

Many of you who are reading this article right now may have a dream that you have placed on the back burner, or you have just discarded it all together because of circumstances and that thing we just call-"Life". I want to challenge you and ask you to go back and retrieve that dream you may have once had and place it in front of you, and ask yourself this question, "Is now the time?" Is now the time to write that book that you always dreamed of writing? Is now the time to go back and get that degree you

always dreamed of getting? Is now the time to start that non-profit business that you know will be a blessing to many unfortunate people? Is now the time to quit the job you hate and start your own business that you dreamed of doing since you were a child? Is now the time to go into the ministry full-time and do what you believe God has called you to do? Is now the time (Psalms 105: 19)?

Most of the people who accomplished their dreams were not rich, weren't really smart, didn't have a mate, nor did they have a definite plan. Many of them were broken spiritually, alone, and not the most liked, but they had one thing going for them---a dream. It was that one thing, their dream that caused them to strive and thrive. No matter what others said about them, they knew that their hearts held a very precious jewel---a dream. They pursued their dream and watched it come to fruition. They faced the odds and beat the odds and they left a legacy to serve as a road map for others. Dr. Myles Monroe was one of those people. As a young adolescent, he was told he would never amount to anything and he went home and cried in his mother's arms, but she being a wise mother assured him that he had greatness inside of him and he would be able to do whatever he put his mind and heart into. He followed that burning on the inside, a dream, and became one of the most honored prestigious spiritual voices and leaders of the 21st century. Dr. Monroe died empty because he lived his dream and if he spoke to all of us right now, I believe he would say, "It is your time. God has removed many great men and women to make room for your dream to come to fruition. Take the piton that you have been given and run with it. Live to dream and dream that your life's work will be fulfilled and leave a legacy for the next generation".
