Lewis & Clark Riverboat Cruise
Now, everyone reading this loves the zoo, and this city has one. The Dakota Zoo comes with a $10.00 admission charge. They are located at 602 Riverside Park Rd, there in Bismarck. The Dakota Zoo has grown to a 90-acre facility housing 600 animals, birds, reptiles, and fish representing 125 species, and is visited by more than 150,000 people each year. You will see a Grizzly Bear, Bengal Tiger, Arctic fox, Bald Eagle, Badger, Bison, Coyote, bobcat, White Bengal Tiger, Emu, and a whole lot of other species. A train ride through the zoo is only $5.00!

waterfront in the Keelboat Park at 1700 River Road. This boat will take you along the Missouri River and under bridges, past historic sites. They offer many types of cruises some of which come with snacks and beverages purchased onboard. If you wish they have pizza, taco, brunch, and BBQ dinner cruises, which are your evening cruises. Some cruises are also sunset cruises! Prices vary depending on the day and the theme. They also have narration at the beginning of the cruise, then it becomes music.
Growing up in Michigan, you would have never guessed that the state of North Dakota is part of the Midwest, because of its location. You will find that Bismarck is the capitol city of the state. Usually, capital cities have a lot of attractions, some of which are FREE government ones.
Speaking of FREE, the 21-story art deco interior of the North Dakota State Capitol Building is at no cost. Self-guided tours are available year-round, Monday through Friday, with FREE guided tours also available, or take a virtual tour online. Walk-ins are welcome! You will need to check in at the Information desk located on the ground floor of the state capitol building where maps are available. Also, make sure you check out the 18th observation floor while you are there, which provides a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
