SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH
AN UNUSUAL PROMISE

".... we are assured God will never put on us more than we can bear."
Job wronged no man, even God Almighty testified of his uprightness within and without notwithstanding, trouble came at Job without an invitation.
In the true sense of it no one wants to prepare for life’s troubles, it is easier to wish or bargain them away; we are assured God will never put on us more than we can bear. Problems are not designed to drown or swallow us, rather troubles strengthen and toughen our resilience in faith.
The holy one of Israel promised His children; when thou pass through waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee, when you walk through the fire thou shall not be burned neither shall the flames kindle upon thee (Isaiah 43: 2).
Bible Text: John 16: 32-33
(A promise of trouble, God carries us through it all.)
Being in Christ does not grant an exemption certificate from trials, troubles, storms, temptations, difficulties, or challenges. Jesus made an unusual promise, which is important to come to terms with and to stand firm and strong when rocky circumstances arise.
Jesus said ‘’These things have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulations (troubles) but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world,” John 16:33, KJV.
‘’The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble and He knoweth them that trust in him”, Nahum 1: 7, KJV.
As long as we are in this world, we are promised a season, time, or period of trouble in various phases of our lives. This is an unpleasant expectation that we must nonetheless expect. A smooth sail is not promised as we journey in faith, but we know and trust that the Lord will see us through our roughest and darkest patches.
”A man born of a woman is of few days filled with trouble”, Job 14: 1, KJV. Job
