Getaway to the outdoors

The 3,700 acres of Carver Park Reserve are a gateway to the outdoors. Right here in Victoria, you can explore the park’ s many trails and spot a trumpeter swan, nesting osprey, whitetailed deer, or a wide variety of waterfowl. But in addition to its natural beauty, the park is also host to many great programs.
Whether it’ s watching songbirds up close as they are studied, tagged and released, stepping back in time to discover how the Grimm Farm changed the Midwest, or enjoying a paddle on Lake Auburn, there are many fun things for you to do with family and friends. Here is a list of programs hosted April 15- May 31.
My Preschooler & Me: Lowry Little Ones Discover nature at the Lowry Nature Center with your preschooler through indoor activity stations, songs, stories, crafts and outdoor exploration. Bring a picnic lunch for after or hike on your own. Reservations required. $ 5 / person. Ages: 2-5, plus adult. Archery Learn basics of shooting safely and accurately at the archery range. Shoot at stationary targets and from an elevated platform. Equipment provided.
