Sherwood Park’s Heritage Mile
Stroll, walk, jog, bicycle or drive “the Mile” to re-live rural
Strathcona County in the early 20th century – long before
Sherwood Park. Smeltzer House, A.J. Ottewell Centre,
Monument Park, the Lendrum Sisters statue and more.
Tour “The Mile” starting at Broadmoor Boulevard at the
Smeltzer House Interpretive Display and proceed north to

Broadmoor Lake Park & Festival Place
In the heart of Sherwood Park you’ll find the beautiful, 27 acre,
Broadmoor Lake Park where you can beat the summer heat
at the brand new spray park and playground. Also nestled in
the park is cultural hub, Festival Place. Showcasing local and
international talent all year round, it's the place for a perfect
evening out.

Drop-in to see this exciting public art gallery located in the
Community Centre. The Gallery features contemporary
artworks from across Canada featuring local, provincial and
national artists. Exhibits change every six weeks and offer a
variety of diverse art practices, art media and programs.

Strathcona County Library
Located in the Community Centre, the Library is a light and
airy space on two floors, with areas designed to appeal to
children, teens and adults. Books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and
newspapers are available for browsing or lending. A host of
e-books, e-magazines and e-newspapers are also available.
Visitors are welcome to use our free computers and wi-fi, and
to enjoy a coffee in one of our many living rooms.
