Madison County Club 735 Red House Rd . Richmond , KY 40475 The oldest private golf facility in the county is the nine-hole course at the Madison Country Club . The course measures 3,083 yards .
Originally called the Richmond Golf Club when it opened in 1922 , the name was changed 20 years later .
The MCC course is hilly with small , bent grass greens and a creek running through the middle that you cross five times . It is a fun and challenging layout . The club is semi-private , but visitors are welcome .

Battlefield Golf Club 524 General Cruft Dr . Richmond , KY 40475 Battlefield Golf Club is the county ’ s newest course ( 2000 ).
It is built on acreage that saw a fierce fight between the Union and the Confederate armies in 1862 during the Civil War . The clubhouse was used as a temporary hospital for the wounded from during and after the Battle of Richmond .
This course is wonderful to play with big greens and great fairways and it ’ s distance friendly , especially for seniors and beginners .
The intention of the staff at Battlefield Golf Club is to offer a well conditioned ,

friendly , service oriented facility that the people of Madison County and neighboring counties can utilize for their recreational enjoyment . They also hope to educate the customer on the historical value of the area and seek to create a preservation of the Battle of Richmond .
The course measures 6,313 yards from the back tees with Bermuda grass tees and fairways .
Memberships are available , but guests are welcome as well .

The Greens at Churchill
The Berea Country Club opened in 1950 and several families who belonged to the

Madison Country Club were instrumental in its formation , including the Davidsons , Marcums , Walkers , Olivers and Rogers .
The facility was renamed the Greens at Churchill last year after being purchased by Mary Anne and Bill West .
The scenic ninehole course features a wonderful view of the East Pinnacle . The flat course with small greens is easy to walk and a pleasure to play .
It is semi-private and open to the public .
