Last year when the massive
earthquake jolted the northern
India, the discussion on health
of our buildings started.
Especially in Delhi where a
majority of density populated
houses are needed to be
retrofitted. We can only pray
that when a 5 Richter scale
earthquake hits northern India
and no major consequences
occur.

With slowdown in construction
industry, it has become quite
difficult for freshly graduated
civil engineer to fuse into
mainstream market.
Companies want experience of
at least 2-3 years or else the
pay is less than a mason
earns. I am amused at the
statics claiming shortage of
engineers in the market.

Best of luck for you

for the first edition.

This is to me one of a kind
initiative. Can’t say much
before I actually go through
your magazine. It looks
promising as far the concept
of magazine is concerned.

Best wishes for the upcoming edition. As a teaching fraternity it
is very demoralizing to see negligible placement drives by the
industries in Civil Engineering. This has made a perception of
exam oriented degree achievement and students are no more
morally motivated to be innovative and learning. This is a risk
for industries in coming years.

The entire nation is divided
into two sects about the
development of Bullet Train
in India. Every argument
should be settled on
technical basis. Over
politicizing is dangerous for
our country’s growth.

Eagerly waiting for the first edition of this magazine since
I found the concept of the magazine amazing. Wish you a
very good luck.
I would suggest that you
invite articles from all the
sectors of construction
including students. Students
these days love to blog and
your appreciation would
further motivate them.
