ERNEST RWAMUCYO This 4th July 2018 marks 24 years of Rwanda’s Liberation by the gallant men and women of the then Rwanda Patriotic Army; now Rwanda Defence Forces, from a genocidal regime that had caused the annihilation of over one million Rwandan Tutsi during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. This momentous occasion led to the stopping of the genocide and the beginning of the re-birth of Rwanda. We salute all the heroes of the liberation struggle and the visionary leadership of H.E. President Paul Kagame who has inspired the nation and the Rwandan people to build a new and forward-looking nation anchored on peace, stability, social cohesion and national unity, democracy and a prosperous future for the Rwandan people. Rwanda is a country that is forging head with resilience, purpose and resolve to ensure prosperity for its people while playing a constructive role in enhancing regional economic integration and supporting peacekeeping initiatives alongside other nations of the World. Rwanda is blessed with pristine natural beauty and unique tourist attractions. Tourism has become one of the pillars of the economy. I welcome all our readers to VISIT RWANDA and partake of the numerous beautiful tourist attractions the country has to offer.
