Plenary Session-II was on India in the EU: Opportunities,
Challenges & Success Stories. The Session was moderated by
Vikram Gera, Co-Chairman, International Aff airs Committee
for Central Europe, PHD Chamber. H.E. Vladimir Maric,
Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to India; H.E. Ivan
Lančarič, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to India; H.E.
Jozef Drofenik, Ambassador of Slovenia to India and Roman
Masařík, Chargé d’aff aires, Embassy of the Czech Republic
shared their thoughts and observations on India’s relations
with respective European countries. G. Balasubramanian,
Joint Secretary (Europe West), Ministry of External Aff airs,
Government of India shared Government’s perspective on the
substantial potential for bilateral cooperation between India
and Europe and opportunities as well as challenges for trade
and investment in Europe for the Indian Industry. The Panel
Discussion consisted of Anil Kapur, General Manager, ALAR
Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd.; Rajesh Bhatia, Group President-
Finance and Accounts, Ufl ex Limited and K C Sundaram,
Director, EU-India Cooperation Forum (EICF) as panelists
who shared their experiences and success stories of doing
business in Europe.
During the conference, there was also an Exhibition where
European missions from Bulgaria, Czech
Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Poland,
Serbia and Slovak Republic showcased
information on their countries.
