Tau Multi Media (Pty) Ltd is the parent company of Dinaledi Online Youth Magazine. The company was founded in April 2013 by Itumeleng Tau, a freelance journalist and photographer based in Klerksdorp.
Itumeleng Tau’s articles have been published in the Sowetan newspaper and the Klerksdorp Record newspaper. Tau Multi Media (Pty) Ltd is a full member of the National Small Business Chamber. The company started work on the Dinaledi Magazine project on December 2013.
Dinaledi Magazine was created in response to the lack of a specialized youth magazine in Klerksdorp and of the lack of full coverage of top notch youth events in the Townships of the Klerksdorp area. Maximum coverage, insightful articles and fully expressive photos of entertainment news will be the main aim of the magazine.
Dinaledi Magazine aims to sell Klerksdorp to the rest of the world. The magazine will mainly cover the Showbiz of Klerksdorp. Musicians, models, poets, writers, dancers, actors, filmmakers and even technology innovators will be covered by the magazine. Most importantly the interaction of the Klerksdorp entertainers and that of their Johannesburg counterparts will be captured. Johannesburg artists performing in Klerksdorp will get full coverage.
The future aim of the magazine is to grow and cover entertainment news in all areas of South Africa.
The magazine will have a strong focus on inspiring young women. Strong, ambitious, determined, creative, beautiful, successful and innovative young women will be given an adequate platform on the magazine.
Not only an entertainer, full of swagger, glitz and glamour; Dinaledi Magazine will also provide business news to young people. The business news will give young people the knowledge to empower themselves financially. The magazine will also promote the economy of Klerksdorp by profiling local businesses.
The magazine will cater for the young people between the ages of 16 and 35.
Tau Multi Media aims to be a fully diversified media company with services extending to billboard advertising, filmmaking, media monitoring, graphic design, talent management, music recording, publishing, events management and public relations.
The company aims to open an office in Johannesburg in the future. It also aims to help establish a performing arts academy in Klerksdorp and also contribute towards the building of an amusement park in Klerksdorp. The company also plans to invest in a consumer electronics manufacturing plant in Klerksdorp and other parts of South Africa and to fund youth scientific research projects.
