Horacio Pagani, founder and chief designer of Pagani

Automobili, is a perfect example of how inspiration, wonder,

desire, and opportunity come together to ignite the creative

spark that fires ambition, vision, and hard work to advance

cultural traditions and catalyze industrial sectors.

Origins

Horacio Pagani was born in the heart of Argentina’s Pampas region on 10 November 1955 in Salida, Santa Fe, to parents of Italian descent. His great-grandfather was born in Appiano Gentile, in the province of Como, Lombardy, and moved to Argentina in the late 1800s, where he opened a bakery in the city of Casilda. The bakery, known as the “Panaderia Pagani,” was managed by Appiano’s son Pietro and his grandchildren – Adelmo, Juan Carlos, and Mario (Horacio's father).

Pagani’s parents, Mario and Martha, were very interested in and appreciated culture. Mario was a well-known musician who played the trumpet in the “Jazz Los Americanos” band. Martha was interested in all forms of art. Together they passed such interest and appreciation of art in all its forms to Horacio.
