The Embroidered Bedchamber

The centerpiece of the room is a 17th-century state bed with embroidered curtains, likely commissioned by Sir Edward Walpole around 1665, adorned with a subtle blend of oriental and chinoiserie patterns. The canopy's corner fastenings display the Walpole family arms, bestowed by King Henry III in 1230. The ceiling painting is by William Kent.

In this room, Odundo chose to place

burnished terracotta pieces, one from 1991 and the other from 2000.
