The Makers Guild in Wales

The Makers Guild in Wales is a national applied art and craft membership organization based in Cardiff, Wales. The Makers Guild in Wales became an Incorporated Charity in 2006, growing out of its Guilds Co-operative origins when set up 1984. (See: https://www.makersguildinwales.org.uk/)

The purpose of the organization is to engage

and inspire audiences as a center of excellence for Craft and Applied Art, as well as to champion Welsh Craft Makers. It achieves this purpose by:

Supporting Welsh craft makers – The Guild is a membership organization of Welsh craft-makers who all share in the Guilds strong co-operative ethos.

Celebrating craft excellence – Championing high quality hand-made crafts and applied art in Wales both of its members work and of invited National and International Artists and Makers.

Expanding over the years, the Guild now has a membership of 78 Wales-based maker-members. Click here to access a directory of makers: https://www.makersguildinwales.org.uk/all-makers.html
