A lot has happened in the last year. The “Dignify by

Design” Summit – held last 9-10 July 2025, in Santa

Fe, New Mexico – was by all accounts a great

success, with both presenters and attendees asking

if we would share information about the people and

organizations presenting with our larger readership.

This we are pleased to do. So, you will find in this Summer 2026 issue of the magazine articles written by or about individuals and organizations who presented at the summit, along with accompanying videos and/or audio recordings of presentations made when possible. In addition, we are highlighting a number of people, organizations, and companies we believe further evidence how human dignity can underpin work across these fields. We hope you enjoy learning about all these individuals and organizations, as they truly evidence the kind of good work that can move our cultures forward responsibly.

Equally, there was a clear consensus among attendees that Human Dignity Projects, the host of the summit, continue its work involving respect for people, places, and traditions. Attendees asked that we follow-up on what good work was done and connections made at the summit, so to capitalize on both the enthusiasm and commitment by many to help. So, as a first effort, we have developed a new podcast, “Dignify Audio,” wherein we and various members of Human Dignity Projects will present pieces and/or interview people, companies, and organizations offering up thought-provoking pieces or doing interesting work in this space.

To start things off, I am presenting “A Letter to America,” which is an expanded version of the presentation I made at the “Dignify by Design” Summit (click here for the video the presentation (https://www.humandignityprojects.org/dignify-by-design-summit). that so many attendees requested, a letter which introduces the "Campaign for Human Dignity"—an initiative that could grow from an educational platform into a voluntary association and, ultimately, a new political movement. (click here to access the podcast. https://www.humandignityprojects.org/podcast).

And we have outlined, in multiple places throughout the magazine and within the podcast, some ways in which you can get involved: whether it be contributing financially to Human Dignity Projects, contributing time as a volunteer or board member, offering up venues for holding another summit, arranging speaking engagements for presenters, assisting with marketing and outreach, making introductions to and connections with people and organizations of like mind, or proposing stories of interest that might resonate with readers of dig.ni.fy magazine.

What we have realized is we live in an unimaginable time, a time that comes at the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, causing us to take a step back and think about what that promise held and what it has become for people, organizations, and corporations now operating in that environment. And we have concluded we need new markers that will not only help us navigate what are extremely dangerous waters but prepare us for the day when we once again return to environment in which we can conduct business, provide services, make art and produce goods in a culturally relevant and responsible way without fear of retribution or retaliation. We hope these two initiatives might reveal and explain, through examples provided, how to prepare and achieve those goals.

As always, we welcome your input and support in whatever way you feel most comfortable.

Enjoy!
