I've never seen such a beautiful city in the fall! Can you imagine a fast, million and busy city, which is at the same time a quiet place where you can take a break from all this fervid life with a glass of tea and simit in every corner, and with a little luck with a view of the sea?

A fall season is one of the best times to visit Istanbul, located in the edge of Europe where east meets west, due to the color palette that makes the city stand out. Even the rainy days did not stop us from exploring the beauty of the only city located in 2 continents.

As soon as we arrived, we decided to start exploring the city, what was a real adventure, because we were completely alone in this hike, only with a map in our hands. Walking around the Beyoğlu we saw all the beauty of the city, which is both modern and historical, with a gentle note of orientalism. Neighborhoods around Taksim Square are very interesting and very different. After discovering the neighborhood where we stayed, Beyoğlu, we continued walking over the Galata Bridge to the historic part of the city, Sultanahmet and visited some of the most popular sightseeings like Hagia Sophia, the one building that surpasses the rest due to its innovative form, historical importance and sheer beauty and the only place in the World that has served to three religions throughout the history. Istanbul has plenty of restaurants serving high quality international cuisine, but it would be rude, when in Turkey, not to try some local dishes, so we went to the one of the most popular and traditional restaurant Hafiz Mustafa to have a cup of coffee and a piece of well-known Turkish künefe (which tastes divine – yes, I fell in love with künefe)

The next stop for us three girls was an absolute must for visitors - the tremendous Grand Bazaar, the world`s oldest and biggest covered market, with thousands of shops offering local delicacies, carpets, accessories, garments, souvenirs, ceramics. The bazaar district is chaotic and colourful. Seriously, ladies should bring their sharpened elbows here, because they will harass you until you leave the bazaar, which can be especially uncomfortable for a single girl walking around with no man.
