MAUI STRONG

In a gesture of kindness from one beach community to another , an event organized by The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar garnered $ 70,000 for the Maui Strong Fund to help with relief efforts on the Hawaiian island after the wildfire there in August . For the Sept . 17 fundraiser , guests were invited to attend either a daytime Maui Strong Tasting Event or an evening Taste of Hawaii Dinner . “ Many of us have a personal connection to Maui , and that is what made it so special ,” JC Clow , founding partner of The Winery , said in a press release . “ I am blown away by the show of support from our loyal friends and many sponsors .” Guests enjoyed the flavors of Maui , including cocktails made with Hawaiian spirits .
