Mobile apps and mobile devices have changed the game and there’ s no turning back! Given the high rates of mobile device / smartphone adoption, consumers are increasingly choosing to search out opportunities and make their purchases using a mobile device. Businesses that can cater for this shift in consumer behaviour will benefit with greater potential for sales. However, it is imperative to ensure websites are designed using a modern and attractive user interface that is readable on a mobile device. Typically, if it takes more than a few seconds to load a webpage on mobile device, there is a high chance that customer drop off will result. Businesses that cater to this demand by offering mobile optimised( i. e. responsive) websites should attract more customers and retain them for longer.

Google’ s algorithm now preferences mobile friendly websites and those with more relevant app content within its search result ranking. What does this mean? Businesses that don’ t offer a high quality, responsive web design may end up much lower in Google’ s search ranking.
