WE ASKED EXECUTIVE producer , TV personality , mom , author , philanthropist and host Courtney Hansen , who is currently producing “ Ride of Your Life with Courtney Hansen ”— a custom car restoration show on Motortrend TV which surprises deserving individuals and families with the custom car of their dreams — about life , love and inspiration .

Your idea of perfect happiness … being content in each moment and peaceful in your mind and soul . Happiness for me is also tied to my family and close friends .

The trait you most deplore in yourself … OCD . I work on it daily . I ’ m the type of person who has to check if the door is locked 25 times , the candles are burned out 12 times and I ’ ll go back to the house after I leave to make sure I unplugged the curling iron or turned off the stove .

What you deplore in others ... anybody who is unkind .

Your current state of mind is … in a million places because I ’ m juggling my television series and editing these last episodes . I ’ m also a mom of an eight year old who has her

school and daily activities which are violin , piano , tennis , soccer and soccer and soccer . And then I have a husband …

Your greatest extravagance … buying fine jewelry from Marissa Collections . Getting frequent blowouts is another one .

The quality that you like most in a man ... kindness , 100 percent . I love a kind man and have never been into the bad boy thing .

The quality you like most in a woman … confidence and a woman who supports other women .

The phrase you most over-use … according to my daughter , “ only boring people get bored .” She ’ s in that phase of saying “ I ’ m bored , I ’ m bored .”

Your favorite writer of all time … C . S . Lewis

Your favorite hero of fiction … Wonder Woman , Duh ! For sure , Wonder Woman .

Your biggest regret is … that I stopped playing piano . Because I used to be able

to play and I hate that I ever stopped .

Your most treasured possession … my 1957 Thunderbird . It was the first classic car I ever bought and it ’ s not even the most expensive or valuable car , but it has so much special meaning in my life .

Your favorite occupation is … mine , I love what I do ! I love being able to interview people and get to learn about them through my craft . I love to work in television and hopefully be able to make people laugh , smile or cry in a good way . And bring them an escape from daily life . And I love working on cars .

If you could choose how to die … Oh gosh , that ’ s a weird one . My friend Linda Vaughn , who is the queen of motorsports , once said that if she had to pick a way to die she would love to be standing in the pits on a race track and get blown down by Mario Andretti going 200 mph . I thought that was funny , but that ’ s not my quote .

Your motto … be kind , work hard , enjoy the ride .
