Welcome in the school “KLARA Teoretiska
Gymnasium” – Sollentuna – Stockholm –
Sweden
The school “CLARA Teoretiska Gymnasium” is a private sec-
ondary school founded in 2007 by Nordic Institute of
Technology AB (NTI) with name Mikael Elias teoretiska
gymnasium. The school changed its name to the Clara Te-
oretiska Gymnasium in 2018 and this school is a certified
UN - school, that means that sustainable development goals
are incorporated in school's education.
During our first visit, we were warmly welcomed by the
principal of the school - Karianne Stensrud, the teachers Jo-
han Hertzberg and Susanna Karkkainen, as well as
stu-
dents Olivia, Elian, Demianne, Zahra and Amira.
At the beginning of this meeting, named Natural Science and
sustainable development, there was an introduction among
pupils and teachers from partner schools from Poland,
Sweden, Réunion-France, Ireland and the Republic of North
Macedonia.
Through the presentation we got acquainted with the 3
programs which are taught in this school for prepare the
students for their higher education:
- Natural sciences
- Social sciences
- Economical sciences
In the school have 7 classes with about 200 students in total
and 3 of them are with natural science disciplines.
Klara Teoretiska Gymnasium Sollentuna is the school for
students with high ambitions and global commitment where
the students have a opportunity to be educated by
knowledgeable, happy and committed teachers who link
theory to reality - where each individual student is in focus.
