Visit at O ’ Sullivan ’ s Bakery

24.09.2019
During our week in Killorglin , we had the opportunity to visit a local bakery factory , called O ’ SULLIVAN .
Let ’ s start with their story :
In 1952 , Tom O ’ Sullivan and his family started a much loved tradition , creating fresh bread and barmbracks for the local area . O ’ Sullivan bakers have taught their traditions to the next generations , their love for bread and bracks never stopped and even today their breads in the red wrapper are linked with Killorglin and its surrounding communities .
During the visit , we could learn a lot about the methods of production . From the bread dough to sliced bread , we saw all stages of production . Everything was made with robots , from mixing ingredients to cooling steps .
We were very grateful to visit a family business that makes Kerry county people proud .
