LAGUNA BEACH NO TAKE ZONE
Laguna ’ s marine life and underwater habitats are protected about 2.5 miles off the coast in an area deemed the No Take Zone . The triangular space consists of the Laguna Beach State Marine Reserve and the Laguna Beach State Marine Conservation Area , which extend from Laguna ’ s northernmost city limit at Abalone Point Beach to Table Rock Beach .
Beachgoers can enjoy quintessential summertime activities like swimming , stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking in the nearby coastal waters , but fishing and harvesting is barred , ensuring that the region ’ s wildlife and natural resources will be enjoyed for many more summers to come .
