The event is normally an in-person event for thousands of dōTERRA ’ s Wellness Advocates to attend an at arena in Europe . Because of the pandemic , they did this online in 2020 by just showing the content they had made to use at the arena . They felt that it didn ’ t ‘ feel ’ like their normal convention so this year , whilst still needing to be online they wanted a more connective approach so that it had the same excitement and gravitas .
What was the client ’ s business objective , and how did provision of an online / hybrid event help achieve this ?
Their object was to provide their Wellness Advocates with information and product updates as well as product launches . They wanted to provide their normal level of training , information and advice that they promise to Advocates on a regular basis , but particularly , as this is normally the biggest event they run each year , it all helps and supports them build their businesses and knowledge .
Describe the online visitor experience ; how were they engaged , and could you measure this engagement ?
The client had an online live chat which enabled us to see lots of positive reaction as well as social media hashtags and feedback sent directly to the client after the broadcast .
Viewers who hadn ’ t managed to watch it live were also able to watch it back a week later , with more people purchasing a ticket to be able to do this after hearing from others about how useful the content was .
Why did you select your chosen technology platform ; how did you find the purchase , support and delivery ?
The client chose to use Brightcove as they had previously used them . We also have a good working relationship with Brightcove and found them easy to work with once again . We also used a UK based team who were responsible for encoding and broadcasting the streams direct to Brightcove , again this is a set-up we have used for other clients and it worked seamlessly .
