Targeting client needs

The Event Technology Group shares three case studies of recent success stories

At The Event Technology Group , our philosophy is based on providing hybrid and streamed events that work on platforms that meet the needs of the client , rather than a one-size-fits-all approach .

With the addition of Dobson and Fisher , we formed The Event Technology Group and have undertaken many events in 2020 and are currently working closely with venues to make events more creative and engaging as opposed to using standard green rooms . We use both on-site and off-site live location work and have studio facilities in London , Reading and Manchester .
Here we share some examples of our recent work .
CASE STUDY 1
TYPE OF EVENT : AWARDS CEREMONY HYBRID OR FULLY ONLINE : HYBRID DATE RUN : 12 NOVEMBER 2020 CLIENT NAME : EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS AUDIENCE : B2B ACTUAL ATTENDEES : 300 PLATFORM USED : YOUTUBE LIVE
The Event Photography Awards was founded by Philip Atkins , MD of event staffing agency Off to Work , is now in its seventh year .
In the weeks leading up to the ceremony , it gained momentum attracting much interest from the general public resulting in the introduction of an additional set of People ’ s Choice Awards . With the extended lockdown , the organiser faced moving the event from its original format to deliver the event online working with a very tight turnaround .
The marketing campaign was through personal invitation to the organisers own database and the ceremony viewed by over 300 event photographers and industry professionals from across the UK and overseas .
The awards ceremony contained a mix of both live and pre-recorded material . Visions provided a backdrop to interview Atkins and Graham Hill at the Off To Work offices . We edited pre-recorded videos from all the nominations and collated all the finalists ’ entries so they could be viewed on slides .
The evening was broadcast live and edit played content streamed via YouTube Live . The decision for using this platform was due to the tight turnaround during to change in lockdown rules , accessibility for everyone and for ease of viewing to the public post-event . Following the awards evening , multiple videos and graphics were split and sent to each finalist so they each had their own award-winning moment to share .
There was great interaction with the Q & A session and fantastic media and social media coverage post-event from both the event industry and national press .
Graham Hill said : “ The team were creative with the presentation , completely flexible offering the platform that supported all our objectives and reassuring as this is a new way of working for us all . I ’ m not sure the virtual awards ceremony would have come off without the support of Visions .”
