Describe the online visitor experience ; how were they engaged , and could you measure this engagement ?
One of the main priorities was to ensure that the online version was as engaging as a live event . Hyve hired Showcase due to their professional and reliable experience from live shows , but also their invaluable virtual events knowledge . Their involvement vastly improved the visitor experience and contributed to both higher visitor numbers and engagement being longer than might have been expected .
Showcase deployed green screen technology and video production that allowed up to eight speakers to be on screen at once , so creating a lively , energetic scenario .
On the clients platform , visitor engagement was measured in the following ways : initial registration , who participated and at what point , what sessions were consumed and for how long .

Hyve marketed the event through the usual marketing channels , including : website , email marketing , social media , PR and a wide range of media partners . The sponsors themselves also engaged with their contacts in a similar manner .
Did you need to put on a conference programme ; how did you arrange your speakers and what work did you do with them to ensure they were ready ?
Inviting speakers was not a real issue as due to the pandemic most people were available and always keen to be involved with this important event in the industry ’ s calendar . Hyve ’ s head of content along with the advisory board developed the agenda and topics around both the challenges within the mining industry over the past 12 months and its new opportunities .
Along with in-depth briefs from Hyve , Showcase undertook rehearsals with the speakers to ensure both video feed and connections worked ahead of the event , so as to establish good on-boarding .
