mission” of the Divine Mercy, as well as her sacrificial suffering in union with Jesus to “share in
the redemption of mankind” (Diary, # 310) or “to rescue souls” (Diary, # 1612). 59
She wrote her Diary under the seal of obedience to her two Confessor-Spiritual Directors
(Fr. Michael Sopocko and Fr. Josef Andrasz, S.J.), with the concurrence of her Congregation
Superiors. 60 They were the earthly authority figures who validated God’s will for her, as well as
the truth of the Divine Mercy mandate for all peoples, as revealed through her. 61 Jesus expressly
told her about her distinct task in His Divine Mercy mission:
My daughter, be diligent in writing down every sentence I tell you concerning My
mercy, because this is meant for a great number of souls who will profit from it
(Diary, # 1142)…
My daughter, I demand that you devote all your free moments to writing about My
goodness and mercy. It is your office and your assignment throughout your life to
continue to make known to souls the great mercy I have for them and to exhort
them to trust in My bottomless mercy (Diary, # 1567)…
In the Old Covenant, I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to my people. Today I
am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to
punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My merciful Heart
(Diary, # 1588)…
Know that your task is to write down everything that I make known to you about
my mercy, for the benefit of those who by reading these things will be comforted
in their souls and will have the courage to approach me (Diary, #1693)…
My dearest secretary, write that I want to pour out My divine life into human
souls and sanctify them, if only they were willing to accept My grace created
(Diary, # 1784)…
My daughter,…Your assignment and duty here on earth is to beg for mercy for the
whole world. No soul will be justified until it turns with confidence to My mercy…
I am making you the administrator of My mercy (Diary, # 570).
