(a). The Liturgy of the Word: The Priests Speak on God’s Mercy on the Feast of Mercy 349
The first Sunday after Easter is to be the Feast of Mercy. On that day, priests are
to tell everyone about My great and unfathomable mercy (Diary, # 570)…
I desire that priests proclaim this great mercy of Mine towards souls of sinners.
Let the sinner not be afraid to approach Me. The flames of mercy are burning Me
– clamoring to be spent; I want to pour them out upon these souls” (Diary, #
50)...
Ask of my faithful servant [Father Sopocko] that, on this day, he tell the whole
world of My great mercy; …My Heart rejoices in this title of Mercy (Diary, #
300)…
Proclaim that mercy is the greatest attribute of God. All the works of My hands
are crowned with mercy (Diary, # 301).
(b). The Liturgy of the Eucharist with Sacramental Communion and Confession 350
On that day (Feast of Mercy or Divine Mercy Sunday)… the soul that will go to
Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of
sins and punishment. On that day, all the divine floodgates through which graces
flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as
scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to
fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the
very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will
contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity (Diary, # 699).
Whoever approaches the Fount of Life on this day will be granted complete
remission of sins and punishment (Diary, # 300).
Jesus is the “Fountain of Life” worshipped in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (Diary, #
742). He is also the “Fountain of Mercy” in the Sacrament of Confession (Diary, # 1602) and in
the Sacrament of Holy Communion or the Holy Eucharist (Diary, # 1487). He is, as well, the
