WHAT IS DIGITAL INDIA Digital India is a campaign launched by Government of India to ensure that government services are made available to citizen electronically by improved online infrastructure and by increasing internet connectivity or by making the country digitally empowered in the field of technology. It was launched on 1st July, 2015 by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. The initiative includes plan to connect rural areas with high speed internet networks – Digital India consists of three core components. These include :The creation of digital infrastructure, Delivery of services digitally, Digital literacy. Some of the facilities which will be provided through this initiative are Digital Locker, education, e-health, e-signature and national scholarship portal. As the part of Digital India Indian government planned to launch cleaning centres. It should be applied to transform India into a digitally empowered society. This programme is projected at Rs.1,13,000 crore which will prepare the country for knowledge based transformation. Cashless transaction refers to the cashless India. This was brought by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and indirectly by the 2016 Indian bank note demonetization. Cashless include E-payment transaction, online payment sending money to each other etc.
