Lampwork artist Liz DeLuca is back with her third instalment of foundation lampwork tutorials - and she ’ s gone murrini-mad ! Learn how to make your own with her tutorial on page 125 - and she has a giveaway for you too !
One of my personal favourite projects in this issue comes from the workspace of one of Australia ’ s most talented bead artists - Melissa Ingram . Melissa has created “ Kitty Ears ” in memory of Divinyls frontwoman Chrissy Amphlett , reminiscent of a famous photo of the singer wearing black satin kitty ears - Chrissy was rock to the core and Melissa ’ s kitty ears are a fabulous tribute to her ... I just couldn ’ t resist wearing them in my editor ’ s photo ... as well as while working on this issue ... and nearly wore them to school pick-up ! They are FAB !
If you ’ re a little cuff-crazy - like me - then you ’ ll love Louise Jensen ’ s cuff special on page 115 - a cuff can make such a statement and these five designs certainly take centrestage - from bead embroidered to chain and turquoise , Louise has something for every cuff taste .
