The innovative design of the DLC205 enables users to aggregate 9 channels, 5 external and 4 internal, of 10/100/1000 Ethernet traffic for transport across electrical or optical networks, all in a low cost, single slot DigiLink module. The module is fully nonblocking with a total capacity of 18 Gigabits of traffic and each port independently supports 10/100/1000 Ethernet. The four internal ports can be linked to other modules in a DigiLink chassis to provide internal Ethernet connectivity eliminating the need of external cabling. Unlike more complicated designs that require dedicated trunking modules and switching matrixes, the DLC205 is a simple Ethernet aggregator compatible with all DigiLink chassis providing a simple, reliable, and low cost solution for transporting video centric traffic and chassis management across Ethernet networks.
