DIG Insurance & Business Magazine Fall 2020 | Page 3

Ready For Anything

If 2020 has taught us anything ,

it ’ s that the unexpected does happen and the unimaginable can become reality . As much as we want to control the circumstances we face in business and at home , the future is full of things we can ’ t foresee .
What we can do is take the helm and prepare a map for navigating the rough waters . We can plan for the minor interruptions and the worst-case scenarios . This is the heart of the insurance industry . So , in many ways , we at Deeley Insurance Group have been getting ready for “ the unprecedented ” all along .
But let ’ s face it . A pandemic wasn ’ t on our radar . Neither was the resulting business interruption , the stress of homeschooling , or the transition of moving our staff to a remote work environment . Life as we knew it became one giant question mark . And , with the barrage of news and 24 / 7 status updates on the COVID-19 situation , filtering through the noise to find useful information and advice was overwhelming .
WHAT NEXT ?
We hope you ’ ll ask this question in an intentional , strategic way as you read this issue of DIG Magazine . In these pages , we ’ ll share our journey to create a solid business continuity plan that is carrying us through this challenging time ( page 4 ). We ’ re proud to showcase several business clients who prove how resiliency and innovation — the ability to pivot and adapt — is helping them thrive today ( page 6 ).
Insurance professionals are working hard to provide protection for the ultimate unexpected , such as workers ’ compensation relief ( page 25 ) and addressing major perils ( page 8 ).
Pivot . Adapt . Overcome . With a plan , this is possible . With preparation , you can Be Sure .
