Julle is ‘n skitterende groep mense! Baie dankie!

And there 2103 is almost something of the past ...

If we interact with business people in town many remark that it was a challenging year. The un-certainty associated with strikes accompanied by poor service delivery and a consumer wallet that at times was held very tight, are cited as some of the reasons.

The good news is that challenging times are often the incubator for innovation… innovative service delivery methods, innovative thinking to improve cost management, and if we think hard enough,

even new innovative products. I propose that every business person book time in their diary to reflect on 2103 and carefully consider what to make of the breeding period we had. I really look forward to see what 2014 will hatch!

I will not look back at 2013 now, as we will share these thought at the annual general meeting

with each other, but allow me the opportunity to thank each business chamber member for their

participation and contributions in our re-establishment year. The Thabazimbi Business Chamber is once again a recognized stakeholder group and our goal will remain to be a stakeholder that will be synonymous with progress.

I would also like to recognise the business chamber management for their selfless work and hours of sacrifice to meet with other stakeholders, negotiate and network, arrange functions, planning and, and, and... These members businesses often had to suck the hind tit for the broader business community’s interests and their pockets were also deep when it came to contributions towards the success of our operations and functions. You are a brilliant group of people! Thank you!

I wish everyone a blessed festive season. Rest well and may we approach the new year with vigor and innovative energy to put our beautiful town on the 'map'.
