DICTAcommittee Freshers’ Trip to Brighton Pouyan Maleki-Dizaji, First Year Representative 2012/13, revisits his experiences on the Freshers’ Trip to Brighton. T he fresher’s trip to the seaside town of Brighton for a weekend of madness was certainly one of the highlights of the first term. Despite an agonisingly long coach journey due to severe traffic, we were greeted by an endless supply of domino’s pizza when we arrived. The delays meant that the night was already upon us so there was no messing around - we dislodged our bags in the rooms, ran to the closest off-license, and commenced the partying! The morning ride on the Brighton wheel would have been the perfect consolation to our hangovers if it were not for the sea mist restricting our view to no further than a few hundred meters. However, the grim weather was not going to stop us from making the most of the weekend. The treasure hunt that followed gave us a great opportunity to explore the gay capital of the UK. In the evening we were treated to good old seaside fish ’n’ chips, followed by a bar crawl, and finished the night off at one of Brighton’s biggest clubs. Prior to Brighton, most of the people who went on the trip could probably have counted the amount of lawyers that they knew on one hand. Fortunately, the trip offered a chance
