We pride ourselves in being a community-based center, specifically geared to the celebration of the older adult, tucked away in a serene corner of Lake Forest just waiting to be discovered. Back in the day, the universal impression of senior centers was all about bingo and bland events. We’re constantly reinventing the term ‘senior center’ over here on the beautiful Grove Campus. Dickinson Hall simply means a lively place where friends and soon-to-be friends meet to be social, learn together, and have easy access to the social services needed to live happily and safely in their own homes in the community. Additionally our transportation services help to keep members active throughout the community. June will mark the beginning of our new summer dinner and music series. Come along and check out the quality of our programming with its excellent food, beautiful decor and live music. Lake Forest favorite, the Carl Noble Trio will kick off the series with jazz in June for us. We’ll welcome the stylish and sassy Chicago-based band, The Flat Cats in July. These laidback gatherings are the perfect way to celebrate summer with friends! If you’re receiving this NewsBrief for the first time, I encourage you to visit and take a tour of our historic facility. Maybe try a fitness class, join us for a lecture, or accompany us on a trip. During all seasons, Dickinson Hall is a welcoming place where you can continue lifelong learning, make new friends, and find your place in our friendly community. Our staff works daily to make Dickinson Hall a place you feel respected, heard, and known. It truly is a place just for you! We look forward to seeing you soon, Jill
