We’ve certainly had our fill of winter by now! Surrounded by the deep snow this winter has brought, it’s hard to be thinking of spring, but thankfully the contents of this NewsBrief are getting us back on track. This NewsBrief is packed with many great programs and trips and certainly celebrates all the joys of the upcoming season. With a floral design workshop, a joyous Mardi Gras celebration, a spring dessert featuring beautiful music, and annual favorites like the St. Mary’s Luncheon and Volunteer Appreciation there’s something for everyone! The Volunteer Appreciation luncheon is one of our staff’s favorite events. It allows us the opportunity to thank the countless volunteers who help make Dickinson Hall what it is today! We’re so looking forward to honoring everyone who lends a hand in and around Dickinson Hall. All of our helping hands are greatly appreciated, be they hands that help stuff envelopes, answer the phones, serve food, clean up, organize the lending closet, supplement our transportation program, or simply say hello. A huge thanks also must go out to the two volunteer boards which are heavily involved in supporting Dickinson Hall through fundraising efforts and in support of the staff with advocacy and advice: The Senior Resources Commission and Senior Citizens Foundation. It truly does take a village, and we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you so much for all you do! If you are interested in volunteering at the center, please stop by or phone me at 847-810-4679. Jill
