GFI promotes its products at supermarket shows where “stop and shop” customers and GFI marketing agents can interact with customers. OPPORTUNITIES THREATS • Grace Foods is using suppliers in Far East to supply products to North America in terms of manufacturing and intellectual property, branding and management relationships, and marketing etc. These partnerships can be leveraged to penetrate other markets. • Various competitive products in those markets where GFI operates. • Competitors are entities willing and able to invest considerable sums to develop and further their competitive edge; this is a challenge/ threat to GFI. • Non- Caribbean competitors also offering Caribbean-like products eg. Jerk sauces, which compete directly with products of GFI. • Even though GFI pioneered certain juice categories, there are firms with large investments and related output, which have greaer market share than GFI. 57
