Paizo Reveals New Pathfinder Novel GODSRAIN with the Pathfinder War of Immortals Meta Event
As part of a Twitch stream on Tuesday , April 16th , Paizo announced a host of products all connected to the War of Immortals meta-event , including the death of a core deity .
Paizo Inc . hosted a livestream on their Twitch channel ( https :// twitch . tv / officialpaizo ) to announce all of the products associated with the War of Immortals meta-event . This stream , hosted by Community Manager Jon Morgantini , featured members of the Pathfinder design team across lines : Michael Sayre , Design Manager , James Jacobs , Narrative Creative Director , Mark Moreland , Director of Brand , and Luis Loza , Rules & Lore Creative Director .
“ This meta event is something that has been in the works for several years , and we ’ re excited to finally invite our players to experience the War of Immortals ,” said Paizo ’ s Director of Brand , Mark Moreland , “ Along with tying together our rulebooks , setting , and adventures , this event is also giving us a fantastic opportunity to return to fiction publishing in a big way .”
Included in the product line was the cover reveal for the first Pathfinder novel in years . Leading up to the event , Paizo launched a series of web fiction shorts for fans to devour ! The breadcrumbs all led up to the announcement of GODSRAIN – A PATHFINDER NOVEL , a world-changing tale of epic scale set amidst the War of Immortals .
This hardcover novel is written by fan-favorite Korean and European author Liane Merciel . As a so-called “ Army brat ,” Liane grew up in Germany , South Korea , and several different parts of the United States . She now lives in Philadelphia , where she practices law . She is an alumnus of Yale University and the College of William & Mary Law School . Merciel ’ s work on GODSRAIN ties directly into the multi-product War of Immortals campaign and features some of the most popular characters from the world of Pathfinder !
