The American Booksellers Association ( ABA ) hosted their annual Winter Institute conference from February 11 – 14 , 2024 in Cincinnati , Ohio , and Diamond Book Distributors was in attendance on behalf of our publishers . The ABA ’ s premiere four-day annual industry conference featured educational programming for independent bookstores , as well as keynote talks , author receptions , publisher parties , and dedicated time to network with booksellers , authors , and publishers from around the country .
As the largest gathering of bookselling professionals in the US , Winter Institute was attended by over 950 members , along with hundreds of authors , publishing professionals , international booksellers , and industry partners .
Diamond Sales Representative , Devin Funches , was joined by our partner sales representatives from Abraham and Associates at Winter Institute where they met established partners and new booksellers from across the country .
“ It ’ s so encouraging to see how graphic novels have truly found their place in independent bookstores , and I am looking forward to Children ’ s Institute this year now more than ever ,” said Funches .
