FOR YOUR INFORMATION
Welcome to the New
Website!
R
egular visitors to www.cpso.on.ca probably
noticed a big change this spring.
On April 4, we launched our new and
improved website, a refreshed online
presence that makes it easier for doctors, patients
and other health-care stakeholders to find important
information about our regulatory work here in Ontario.
The biggest change you’ll notice is that we decided
to triage our visitors into two main audiences –
Physicians (which includes new applicants) and
Public. We decided that this kind of approach made a
lot of sense for how visitors wanted to consume our
content. Under the Physician section, you will find
three sub-sections: Registration, Your Practice, and
Policies & Guidance.
On our new website’s homepage, we have reinstated the
Find a Doctor quick search of our public register, which

also includes a link to its “advanced search” function.
The website in now more mobile-friendly, adapting
to whichever device (desktop computer, tablet, or
smartphone) you’re viewing it on. The new website
is also far more accessible now for those with visual
disabilities and other impairments, and we are working
hard to be fully compliant with the Accessibilities for
Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) by the 2020
deadline.
In addition, the website has two new sections of
content. The Compliment a Physician page allows
patients to share a good news story about their
encounter with an Ontario doctor. In our Trending
Topics section, we’ll be posting articles and opinion
pieces that articulate the CPSO’s position on hot-
button issues affecting health care in Ontario. Stay
tuned as we build this section out! MD
