The MyPractice reports and metrics were
developed jointly by HQO and the Institute for
Clinical Evaluative Sciences, in partnership with the
Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario, the
Ontario College of Family Physicians, and the Centre
for Effective Practice.
2. W
hat percentage of these patients are just
starting opioids? HQO does not report outliers to anyone (including
the CPSO, other agencies or physician groups). It
also does not follow up with individual prescribers.
The purpose of the report is for physicians to review
their own performance and make decisions to
benefit their patients.
3. W
hat percentage of patients are on high-dose
opioids (90 ml equivalent of morphine or more)? The Primary Care Practice Reports are for family
physicians only.
4. What percentage of patients on an opioid have also
been prescribed a benzodiazepine (by anyone) ? You can sign up for MyPractice at hqontario.ca.
