MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
as I come to the end of my term as President of
the College, I am grateful for the opportunity
to have had such an experience.
I’d like to thank so many of you for making me feel welcome when we met at different outreach events across the province. Your
comments and questions were thoughtful, your
dedication to your patients was apparent and it
was my great pleasure to meet you.
I would also like to thank Council for being
so supportive and united in efforts to carry out
our public protection mandate with the utmost
integrity. I am particularly proud of Council’s
decision to approve our updated Professional
Obligations and Human Rights policy. I am
indebted to Dr. Rocco Gerace for his wisdom
and kindness. I’d also like to thank all those I
worked so closely with at the College, including the Senior Management Team and every-
one from Policy and Communications. And
of course, I would like to thank my family for
their support and tolerance of my frequent
absences, and for feeding the cats. I would also
like to thank my assistant Yvonne who somehow kept my practice under control and many
times rearranged my schedule so I could get
out there and accept as many engagements as
possible this Presidential year.
It is now my happy duty to hand the leadership of the College to Dr. Joel Kirsh. Joel has
the privilege of serving as your President in
2016, and I wish him every success. You can
read more about this fine doctor on page 23.
Thank you.
