The draft policy sets out the College’s expectations for physicians who prescribe dried marijuana under the federal Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR). These expectations are grounded in the principles of medical professionalism set out in the Practice Guide, and take into account the 34 DIALOGUE • Issue 3, 2014 best available evidence regarding the medical use of dried marijuana. We are now inviting feedback on the draft policy from all stakeholders, including members of the medical profession, the public, health-system organizations and other health professionals.
