MARINER AND FLAGSHIP TOWERS MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL Client: Concord Pacific Group Services: Design Architect Cost: $60 M Size: 32,515 sq m (350,000 sq ft) Completion: 2004 Location: Vancouver, British Columbia Situated on Vancouver’s inner waterway, Southeast False Creek, these twin towers are comprised of 350,000 sq. ft. (32,515 sq m) of luxury apartments and townhomes. The towers are oriented around a large park with views over the ocean to the south and east. The overall development has become the model for residential and mixed-use urban design world-wide. Importantly, this development is made up of a series of neighbourhoods, a design approach which is central to all of DIALOG’s work. The design and layout of streets and the important separations of public, semipublic, semi-private and private space are critical to the livability of this densely populated area. These design criteria have led to low crime rates, an abundance of open green spaces and communities where people can live, work and play. Families, young couples and the elderly all co-habitate in this precedent-setting community. IBI Group Inc. provided construction documentation services.
