2300 Kingsway is a mixed-use development located on the Kingsway corridor at
Nanaimo Street in Vancouver. The development consists of a 22-storey residential
tower with commercial use at ground floor, two 8-storey residential mid-rise
buildings with a total of 423 residential units consisting of a mix of condos and
townhouses.
The development also includes a 35-space child care facility, pharmacy, grocery
store, and numerous other retail outlets. The 4800 sq. ft. daycare was designed
to a LEED® Gold equivalent which will be operated firstly by Collingwood
Neighbourhood House and then by the City of Vancouver in the future.
The development sits on the slope of a hill and thus many of the units enjoy
commanding views of the city and mountains. The facility features a vegetation
wall which changes through the years; an innovative playground for sustainability
education, and a green roof. This child care facility will become a sustainability
icon for the surrounding neighbourhood. There is also a pedestrian mews for
public access.
